i snapped my drivers side one a week or so ago and it was in the wet
but i had a spare one in stock and its fairly easy to change, just try to get the car up fairly high. but if your handbrake isent working well then it may not be the cable, as on my last s12 the handbrake was so shit it failed the mot, i changed the cables and it was still no better, but luckly the mot man let it thru anyway
