Quick q. My S12 never really gets as warm as I think it should (according to the factory gauge). Can I use an S13 DET thermostat ? Not as an upgrade or anything, just seem easier to find.

MkII Silvias have the same thermostat as the early S13's. That said you could by an uprated nismo one but they are expensive

you mean a 'stat that opens sooner ? TBH I'm not so fussy as it's unmodified.

qth100 is a summer stat. 82 degrees opening temp. A winter stat is 88 degrees. I'd just always run the 82 TBH, I have done in my s13s for years

ive just been through the QH catalogue, and they list QTH356 for the s12 and s13, anyway have oerdered it, with gaskets, £7.38 picking it up tomorrow.
use a qth100 and paste.

The ignition and fuel tables are relative to the coolant temp matrix. Runnin' a lower temp stat compared to factory temp stat will need the ignition timing + a/f target for idle tweaked.
