Default Urgent..CA18ET vs CA18DET injectors...

My CA18ET engine has injectors that were measured at 289cc
CA18DET injectors are rated at 370cc. This much is general knowledge.

Now to my little problem...

Does anyone have a picture of a CA18DET injector? I bought a set of used
S13 CA18DET injectors off a guy online, but they dont look anything like the ones that I took out of my CA18ET!

So if anyone has pictures of what I need then I would be grateful.....

Questions:
Do both kinds look the same?
What are the part number of the CA18DET injectors?
Are CA18DET injectors a barb fitting, or come pre-fitted with a short rubber pipe like the CA18ET injectors?

The ones I had sent to me look like oring seals on both ends....

I'll get some pictures up of standard CA18ET and te ones I had sent me, so say from a S13 CA18DET.......

Help me obi-wan...

Conk.

Ah.... so when everyone says "fit DET injectors, they are 370cc" they actually mean.... "fit DET injectors AFTER you have made a fuel rail"!

So do you know if there are any direct replacement 370cc injectors that will fit directly into the ET manifold and have a barbed fitting at the top? Or is making a fuel rail my next project?????

Or am I going to have to be a hero and rodger an 8mm fuel hose onto a 10mm injector with hose clamps and hope for the best! I mean... petrol, it's not that flammible it it leaks right??!!!

Don't you have to do both? I've got the injectors but I've not done anything with them yet

Should be able to squeeze the fuel pipe over the 10mm end. I would be tempted to flare the fuel rail ends up a bit and use a 10mm pipe. All a question of whether it will leak though when the highest fuel pressue will be on a tonk at 20psi boost, which is approx 55psi fuel pressure.

so rodgering will be the order of the day....

Any ideas about how to hold the injectors in the manifold.... orig. injectors use two 5mm threaded bolts and a clamp to hold them down.... will have to fabricate something for that too I suppose.

A the end of the day, nne of this is too much hassle, but it sucks that I for some reason believed that the DET injectors were a direct replacement... even if in reality the extra modifications might turn a 1hr fiddly job into a 3hr fiddly job....

Pictures when I am done...........

Take the plastic cup holdall off the original S12 injector, and then remove the thick rubber band, and the metal ring, and fit it to the S13 injector. It should fit then.

I test fitted some random Mazda injectors and the holdall was no good, so just did without it:
