Default Brake Calliper Refurb

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone can recomend somewhere that could refurbish S12 Callipers. My Fronts are starting to show there age.

I've found a few places that can do my S13 ones, but only one that can do S12's. However it seams a bit steep at £100 each exchange, when the S13's are much cheeper.

they also do the seal kits so you can keep the cost down and do them yourself!

Or try to upgrade to a pair of Z32/S14 calipers for both a better look and performance.

These are bad for seizng though so be careful buying 2nd hand.

Default Brake Calliper

Thank you for that tip. Just got myself a pair, £55 each all ready to bolt on. Would have recon ed them my self, but with new Job & area move I just don't have the time.

Ref the S14,s Callipers. Are they still single pot & will they bolt on or will I have to modify in any way?

Cheers

Daz

they are 4 pot, they bolt straight on but you need some braided lines with them.

ive recently done the rears on my car, and ts reasonably easy to do.
personally if my front calipers were shot id just do an s13 front suspension conversion with LCA's, tie rods, tie rod ends, hubs, calipers, rotors and R31 castor rods so that u could run s13 coilovers...
but thats just me ive been in the s12 game for many many years now so i definately know its worth it!
cheers

You can just use S13 coilovers and hubs on the standard arms, the other bits, especially the R31 castor rods will be tough to come by over here.

Like the sound of the 4 pot option, & that they just bolt on. might consider that for the future. Will I have to change the discs as well if I fit these? & where could I get a pair from?

I already have braided hoses fitted. She also has 30 mm lowering springs with Monroe gas shocks all round. Thanks for the options, as there seams plently of them.

it wouldnt be hard at all to organize any of the parts u guys have trouble finding over there from here in oz, i can get a pair of brand new r31 castor rods, for example, for about AUD$100. postage would probably be around the AUD$25 mark, as its prob cheaper than posting to the states, and i do that all the time for the clubs12 boys+girls.
cheers
