Right, so now that is said and done.....

I did college as a car mechanic, worked with porting cylinder heads for 7 years (full time) and building competition engines and cars, then worked on the WRC with Ford, was chief instructor at a racing school in the USA, got sick of motorsport and studied again, spent the last 5 years working in the aerospace industry as a Jet engine designer. Still running my motorsport business as a sideline, born in the UK, living in sweden, 2 kids, 1 dog, 3 cats(not mine) and a totally hot swedish girlfriend/partner/bestfriend.

Conkers <--- I don't like bragging, so I won't mention it again

This is my second s12, the first one I had was many years ago, I lived just down the road (100m) from Simon Norris and used to modify cylinder heads for him, and got interested in the silvias then.
Sad story about that one, as I moved to sweden and my brother "borrowed" the silvia (which was for sale) and he never gave it back.... the last time I asked him about the car he said it had been stolen... long story... lets just say I lost it. :-)

Had the current LHD s12 for about a year now, it has been slowly making progress, but other cars in the workshop have kept it on the back-burner.. Was due to go into the paint shop on feb 21st, but I have just ordered a gran-prix body it from Majiej in poland, which will be here at the end of february, so we will delay the paint until the kit has arrived and is fitted.
We were hoping to get out on the ice to do some ice racing/drifting this winter, but it has been to mild here and not much ice to speak of. So it will be a fun road car, that we can do track days and endurance races/drifting...

Currently fighting with the drivers seat, as there is a hump in the tunnel/floor for the cat, which is pushing the seat too high, so the floor will need to be modified to get the seat lower, and my head under the roll cage! Also will be nice with some clearance between crash helmet and roof! Extra work.. but now we are waiting for the bodykit it will keep us busy..

There are a lot of blonde girls here, probably over 50%... my gf is a natural blonde, and is blonde at the moment actually.. but it changes weekly...

I read the thread about your wheel arches... nice work... certainly the best looking silvia I have seen...

A lot of bodywork cosmetics can be hidden in pictures can;t they . Its far from perfect. Richardks s12 has probably the best bodywork around. Im just happy its all one colour and shiney and my wheels dont stick out the arches.

Well your look fine in the pictures.. I am a great fan of the group 4 escort type arches... ingenious that you got them off a trailer.
Was it you that had golf gti arches plopped on your car in the past?

I was going to use gti arches to cover the rust/wheels... but now have ordered a grand-prix kit from Maciej in poland... for that gpB quattro/delta integrale look. Which has also scuppered plans to use 16x7 volvo s40 bbs rims, probably going to stay at 16x7 as I have dozens of part worn A032's from the race car, but will need either some silly offset or make some monster spacers, which will be interesting to what they do the front geometry.. should be like a blummin' gokart (not good).
Just have to sort out a quick rack, make some longer wishbones.... here we go again.... it was supposed ot be so easy and cheap and fun...

Will also be looking for the motorsport look on the body work.... it'll look great in pictures and in action, but up close it'll probably look a bit used.

they were citroen c105 van front arches before. i got 4 from 2 vans the same down the local scrapper. they were quite a good fit but once id got wider arches i wanted them even wider. . Your right though, they did look like golf gti arches. I never told anyone what they were off at the time as i didnt want others having the same. I havnt kept the trailor arches secret as im pretty sure noone else would be stupid enough to try and do it aswell as its a nightmare.

I need to get hold of a bolt on spacer kit for the rear of mine aswell. probably about 25mm and then try and do a quick cheap fix on the the rear camber by slotting out the rear arm fittings. Im getting quite into custom cars these days and going off my old enthuisiasm for fast road cars so my s12 wont end up as a fast road or typical jap car once its finished. I should have my side exits on in a fortnights time hopefully and the wheels refurbed with diamond turned dishes.

I take it you will be porting your head out on your s12 yourself? Or are there fj20et(2ltr turbo) s12's in sweden?
