There's a T25 from an S13 for sale on e-bay. The guy said that the car used to smoke at low engine speeds (sub 1200 RPM) andything over that and it didn't smoke.
He seems to think that the oil seals are going on the tubby and there is some slight play back and fourth in the main shaft. Do you think it's worth bothering with? Is a service kit worth thinking about if I can get the tubby for a good price?

Hi,
You can buy the kits with new seals, bearing, etc.. off ebay but you need to make sure when you re-assemble the turbo to line the impellers perfectly. Or it won't be balanced and will self destruct once it starts spooling up. If your serious about fitting a 2nd hand turbo I would buy one that isn't smoking as the costs and time putting it right just aren't worth it. There is a guide on here to rebuild a turbo in the how-to section if I remember correctly. Cheers Si |

Cool Cheers mate. Looks like it'll be more trouble than it's worth unless I can get it for about £10!

tbh, i would never bother rebuilding my own turbo, it would be more hasskle than its worth, i myself would look for a t28,if your upgrading, then go for the biggest you can get on ya car without having the hassle of welding different flanges on.
