what are the differences with these engines? ive got a mk2 and puttin a mk1 engine in

nothing much. Just different oil feed line to the turbo.

If you can get the oil line with it that would help you alot.......

pulleys aint a prob as ive got new mk1 and mk2 belts. im putting mk2 head on mk1 bottom, how will i get this to work

mk1 and 1.5 have got mechanical valve system mk2 hydraulic ones, right?

wrong Alundra.


As dr_silvia has just pointed out the pullies are different including the bottom pully but they are all interchangable

thats not standard mk1 or mk2. I think thats been fitted at a later date or at the very least it was not available in the uk.

Maybe 30psi would know about it,i havnt seen it before.

Sure it came from a 1.8 turbo, but works with my motor; more than 2 months i ran with it .

I even saw CA20E with mechanical valve system.

OK, well what cam has it got?

I can tell you now the CA20 cam is crap. The CA18 cam in the CA20 head still isn't at its best, unless you use the different ratio rockers from the CA18.

Je peux te dire maintenant que le CA20 cam c'est de la merde. Le CA18 cam dans la tete du CA20n'est toujours pas la meilleure solution, a moins que tu utilises un ratio different du CA18
