Default Boost issues?

Hi i was driving home last night and my boost gauge does not normally go above 5 psi exept for one straight on my way to work and it usually goes up to 7 but last night whenever i put my foot down and give it some it would go up to 10+ why would this be. Is my boost controller causing probs??

What boost gauge have you got? Did the car seem to perform better when it was reading high or was it the same? Also do you know what type of boost controler you've got?

before i fiited a boost controller mine would creep up to about 10psi at the top of 4th & 5th gear.......but as youve got one fitted maybe theres a split in the actuator > boost controller pipes? are you running the colder plugs?(bcpr7es)
