new wheels!
bought some wheels today that were advertised as 17x7s! didn't bother checkin them as was half asleep but got them home and had a look and it turns out they're 17x8s(super advans)! not sure wot offset but they r 4 stud and came off an r33 skyline! does any1 know if i'm gonna have problems with rubbing and best tyre size? i was thinkin 225/40/17!

you need to know the offset to tell if you are going to have problems with rubbing.
215/40/17 toyo proxes would be a good choice

You could go wider than 215's on 8" rims. As above though the offset will determine a lot, although I'd wager that they'd be ok coming off an R33.

Yes he can go wider than 215 wide but from experience It makes the drive boring,road feedback is numbed down and the steering is heavy and suffers alot from tramlining.
Getting a decent brand and compound of tyre is twice as important as the tread width

they've got 235's on then at mo and just thought a 215 might look a bit stetched on an 8" rim and a 235 is more likely to rub! just had a look and think the offset is 32!
