Default Info on key light?

Seems optical fiber, how can I have more "light" from it? Do you know how works in our cars?
Cheers.

I think it comes from the gauge cluster.

Don't see why it needs to be brighter though, its pretty easy to find in the dark

I have,
There is a little piece of browny coloured tube of solid plastic right at the end of the wire inserted in a brass collar and this is shite at letting the light through even if you cut it down,so i ended up taking it off and it is loads brighter.Just pop it out of the collar and push the wire up to the end as it needs the collar to sit in the slot.
Its not a floodlight but lots better than it was.
