do i take it that it is just a straight swap only needing engine, ecu and loom and it will fit straight onto the s12 gearbox and mounts and no trickery with any of the wiring etc

nope i have not. Its a very easy straight swap conversion
same gearbox and bell housing,
same engine mounts
same s12 car loom.
Just drop in the det engine
Use the s13 ecu, loom and loom ancileries ie dropping resistor and power transister and the 3 green top relays
s12 power steering and alternator can be used. Cut a chunk out the s12 power steering pump bracket to clear the wider det head or find a s13 bracket

You should be able to work it out from there as you go along. If you get stuck You know where we all are to answer any questions.

cheers mate i just needed to double check a few bits as you all know ive been a bit rusty with not having a s12 but fingers crossed all should be about to change courtesy of 30psi ive decided that i will be putting a det lump in as for two reasons easier to source than the et lump and secondly easier to find on the shelf aftermarket parts but watch this space coz its going to be mental lol

i have a couple of questions on this subject

the s13 ecu has a speed sensor input, but as far as im aware s12 and Bluebirds turbos dont have a speed sensor, so this cannot be connected does this matter, what did you do?

the other gray area is a feed for the rev counter s13 are driven form the ecu were as s12s take a feed from the coil pack, i have heard that using a feed off each coil pack with a dioide on each can work?

i have a loom made ready to do the conversion in a bluebird turbo but am unsure about these to aspects!
