Red face Hi, i'm new

Hey folks, i'm new to the site, i live in ireland, and i've just collected my new s12, it's now 2.40am and i just had to see was there an s12 site - and i found one - this one. The car i bought is an 88 silvia hatchback, 1.8 sohc turbo. Runs great but the bodywork need work - lots of work. But i'm willing to work hard fixing it up, and i hope you guys will be able to help me along the way. Cheers!

welcome to the site m8, bodywork does seem to be one of the biggest probs with the s12 these days, there is a whole wealth of info and help on this site.

there are a few other sites, but they are not as dedicated to the s12 like this one.

maybe pop up a few pics once daylight hits

enjoy your stay.

I think i'll restore the bodywork to the original condition, get it absolutely mint, and then maybe fit a nice custom drift style kit.
A nice set of rims.
I'll keep the engine fairly standard with some bolt on mods as insurance ain't cheap as it stands.

For now i'm gonna concentrate on the suspension, i know the car needs 2 trailing arm bushings, but i'm fairly sure that when i get a good look under it, there'll be a few more that need sorting. The power steering pump also needs to be reconditioned as the there's some freeplay in the bearings and it's leaking a tiny bit.

Does anyone know if the bushings are available from anywhere other than nissan???
