Default Silvia is back home

Hi Guys,

just thought I would let you know that I got the ole girl out of the garage and towed her round to my parents house today. No tax, no MOT and on a rope so good job my mate is a copper and followed us back to save any hassles from the ole bill.

Anyway, it really is time to put her back together! I know I keep saying it but I have no excuses with it sat on the drive now.

A T3 replacement turbo will be on its way as soon as Pukka receives my cheque. I need to put together the power steering pump, alternator and all the ancillaries. I need to rellocate the battery into the boot. I need to plumb in that new intercooler. I am eyeing up a new aluminium radiator for a civic off flee bay. Looks like it will fit nicely.

Also need to plumb in the greddy profec b boost controller. RICH!!! any chance you could help me with this for a free cossy throttle body?

The biggest job will be to fit a piper cam and fit the already purchased vernier pulley. 30psi if I get it up and running any chance I could bring it to you for these jobs in the summer? Would be so nice to see what i could get out of it with all this done on it.

I have already fitted the bigger throttle body and blanked off the various pipes coming off it. Was it a Ka24 one Shaun? I have the bigger 76mm piping on the inlet size plumbed in with a dv27 bailey dump valve.

Anyway....I looked at her out of the garage and thought that she was no where near as tatty as I thought she was. So that was it, she has got to be back on the road!

Right.....Anybody who would like to assist with this project feel free to contact me. Some of you know me and I am not the best when it comes to work under the bonnet and if I do all of this on my own I will be looking at 2 more years off the road.

cheers guys

Paul

The vernier will need adjusting again. To change the cam the engine might need to be jacked up off its mounts, the clearances would have to be done, and then time the pulley in.

It would take best part of a day to be realistic

Sounds good. Where abouts in the midlands are you?

Claire has a civic and to be honest those radiators are very small. Your probably best going for the one Adzs12 is saving up for.Pm him.

Any chance of some pictures of the old girl? Ive only ever seen it in your signature

Has every piper regrind cam youve dialled in been adjusted be the same amount on the pulley Martin?

Im in Redditch in Worcestershire.

Sure no problem i will take some piccies tomorrow and post them. The intercooler fills the bay. I was thinking of getting this radiator:

will that be good enough?

Right!!....off to pick up the rest of my bits. The ex is on the warpath tonight and things are getting thrown!

With a powerfull electric fan like a kenlowe or pacet,an expansion tank(the std s12 one would be suitable) and a 300zx thermostat you would be fine imo,
