Default fuel system for big bhp

has anyone got any views on fuel systems, i've read that a lot of people use twin pumps, although in the latest demon tweeks motorsport catalogue there are 2 single pumps in claiming they are good enough for 700bhp and 1000bhp, any input would be helpfull.

Weldon makes some very good fuel pumps, add large injectors, a custom fuel rail and a BG EFI fuel pressure regulator with 8 AN braided steel feed line.

A lot of big power cars use a pump/pumps to supply a swirl pot the a second pump/pumps to feed the injectors. The theory being that the swirl pot is kept full of fuel so movement in the tank of of fuel doesn't starve the injectors of fuel as there is a reserve in the swirl pot.
