Default missfire

last nite driving home from work, got a bad missfire, between 2500k and 3k, checked plugs leads and vacum lines, and when i slowed down my power steering went heavey a few times... Im confused....

any sugestions? Coilpack? Would an s15/s14/s13 coilpack fit?

I would check all the following starting with a compression test

air flow meter
air flow meter plug
spark plugs
Head gasket blown
Ht leads inc king
coil earth
rotor arm
dizzy cap
boost/vacuum hoses

It doesnt have coilpacks.No they wont fit

cheers! Well i checked the plugs, leads, vacum, maf was cleaned last week, i hope its not the hg, it dosnt over heat, no coolant loss... And its fine apart 4 that 500rpm gap

it has an individual coil obviously, Just not 1 'coilpack' per cylinder like the s13 det engine has

The coil is underneath the air flow meter but tbh i think a compression test is the first thing to do,if that is ok followed by a new set of plugs


seems coincidental that you cleaned the afm last week. Why did you do that and how.

Leads that are on it are practically brand new, from Nissan, Plugs too.

Could be the AFM

cleaned the afm idle was a bit funny, cleaned it using a kit i bought in germany a couple of years ago, a spray and very tiny soft brush, cost me over a hundred euro from merc, had a amg c43, wish i had known then and just used wd40
