Paper for school
So I am working on this paper about communication. I had to pick a country other than the US. One of the countries i chose was the UK. So, I am wondering what your observations have been when dealing with Yanks. I am looking for verbal and nonverbal communication trends. Such as, are they similar enough for most communication to be understandable besides the slight difference in terminology. In addition, the body language, are they similar enough that you can pick up and tell what Yanks are feeling for the most part compared to your own British body language? And then, what is your view/observation of us Yanks. I have talked to an Aussie and Canuk and they have said pretty much the same thing about how they see us Yanks, which I do have to agree with for the most part.
Also, if you decide to give any info, can you please post up your name and location and such? That way I can use you as a reference. My Prof. is particular when it comes to references. Cheers. |

I can comment on my experiences with yanks having spent 2 years in the Caribbean where alot of yanks lived. I also have entered American Airports on 14 occasions so could comment on that if it helps. Let me know if this is of any use to you.
