Rear wheel bearings
Is it a difficult job to change the rear wheel bearings? Mine are really noisy now! Any special tools needed? And where to get the new bearings from?
Also, is it easy to replace the rear brake discs while I'm at it?

disc's are simple, they come off when you take the caliper off, but the rear arm has to come off to change the bearings, they have to be pressed on.

iv not changed a rear wheel Bering in a Silvia yet but iv done it on other cars and its not a hard job EDIT: maybe harded that i thought
if you need to change the disks you might as well do it at the same time as its part of the process don't forget to take the hand brake cable bracket off the back of the calliper. lots of WD40 will be needed. if they have been on a while they might snap!

Rich its a Big job. I don't mine at the end of last year. You have to take the arms off then wack them in a vice so you can undo the massive torque on the Bearing nut!. They then have to be pressed out and the New ones pressed in. Its then difficult to Re-torque them as they are so tight. Good job my mate had a 400ft/lbs torque wrench for Trucks!
