Finding one is the hard bit - I live in Ireland. There's loads of S13's/S14's, but parts are hard to find and usually cost more than they're worth . I remember seeing an S13 in a scrappy but can't remember where.....

The left shaft has to look like the left shaft originally inside your LSD. It will be the shaft left over, so its apparant which one to use.

In principle, you're shortening it by 8 ish mm, deepening the existing groove to take a snap ring.

The work can be done with a cheap angle grinder and a cutting disc.

I have bought just the diferential careir co i have no idea haw to change the left shaft. So u have to shorten it and makea a place for snap ring. I dont have to lengthen the grove towoards the weel????
and another question. Isthere a diferance in s13 inner shafts I meen LSD, nonLSD. Because all s13 here that i have encourted were not equiped with LSD just standart open dif and im going to get an inner shaft and inner joint from nonLSD s13.

it has the groove already there, it just needs deepening to the same spec as the s13 one.

Some update. S14a can not be used with s13 or s12 iner hafts. The groove on the inner shaft is bigger in diameter then the s13 or s12 so u have to use both inner s14 shafts along with inner joints and custome made halfshafts. I was a bit pised because of that.

Thats weird, how much thicker is the shaft?

Duncan from Ireland used an S14 diff with no issues.

I guess if thats the case then you only have to get one shortened a few inches.

s14a inner shafts are about 1-1.5 mm sthicker. When u put an s12 shaft it want even lock with the dif and u can turn it around frelly.

New update. today i saw a dif from s14 and its diferent then the one from s14a. The only diference is the groove diameter. The dif from s14 will fit s12 inner shafts thom s14a will not.
