Default bucket seats

i wat to fit 1 new seat for the driver andjust wonderd wat is involed in fitting and mounting, will it bolt to the old subframes?

it will sort of fit to the old subframes...

Once you have removed the old seat from the subframe, you will see that the two runners (lets call them tunnel side and door sill side) are at different heights, so you'll need to build up the lower side to make them level, use box section or spacers, and then fit your seat. We used a bottom mount cobra monaco s seat but side mounted seats are a little more common and give easier access to the bolts, but they are usually not available on the cheapest seats... like the monaco s.

Note: we chose monaco s as they are quite comfortable, and still offer (barely reasonable) support for track driving and racing, but should still offer some comfort compare dto an all out race seat, and are FIA approved. But if you are not racing and don't need FIA approved seats, then you can probably find cheaper/lighter seats from another manufacturer.
