ive got a spare one that i took out of my last car you just have to be careful and use a cheeswire type thing to burn/cut thru the old sealant slowly, i guess you could buy my spare off me if you wanted to come down and collect it? if your interested pm me a offer and i'll take a pic of it for you.

Phew! - Lucky I got me 'Net back on just now 'Umpkin - Here's a lovely little tip for you all guys....

...I'm running around with an S13 (yep, S13!) windscreen on mine - it's the EXACT f*cking same one... - Cost me £120 all in, as it ain't *quite* so rare! (I'd never have believed it! )

That piece of advice saved me a sh*tload o' wonga when mine cracked - just hope you get the chance to read this before you get bent over matey...

Hope that helps (Though I see from your last post that at least you got a more reasonable quote afterwards!)

Den.

im so glad too, the RAC phoned me back with.............................. a discount coz im a memebr £280 + VAT

so they also got told to fcuk off and dont take the piss....

the s13 really a direct fit????? cant believe it?? sure it wasnt just a cock up and they gave you a s12 one, would be just my luck they would get the glass out and find my cars odd and dont fit

i shall investigate,

how on earth did you find that out, not really the sort of thing you just try on a warm sunday morning. lol

lol! - didn't believe it myself until he brought the windscreen, lined it up, and it went straight in! worst of it is that I can't remember who gave me the tip, but yep, the guy couldn't get an S12 one, so found someone with an S13 screen in stock and collected it for me!

There could be a minute chance that I'm mistaken, but I distinctly remember it being an S13 one that was fitted (also hence I suddenly got a choice of tinted upper section too!)

Definitely worth a check before you lay out lotsa wonga mate...

Lemme know how it pans out!

'ello mate - don't suppose you could put 'umpkin's mind at rest, and place your spare windscreen against an S13? (if you have an S13-owning mate to hand of course!)

I think you'll be surprised mate...
