Default SST allowed?

Hi there

Sorry it's not a S12, but it does have a CA18ET engine fitted. I've just bought a Scimitar SST 1800Ti on fleabay. It's totaly standard at the moment, with only 48000 miles from new.

Hopefully I can get some advice on here if I want to do a few basic power upgrades

I paid £2250 for it, with MOT until Jan 2008 and tax until September. I think it was a pretty good deal, he even filled it to the brim with petrol.

It has leather seats, a stainless steel exhaust and 4 new tyres a couple of months ago. The paintwork is unmarked and the chassis is in good nick.

Theres a massive history file for servicing etc, the only oddity in there is that the turbo was replaced at only 30k miles.

The only thing that needs doing straight away is a new hood as the original is ripped in a couple of places, I've taped it inside and sealed the rips with PU adhesive, but it's not the best.

one of mine had had an unusually early turbo in its life, which turned out to be because the owner had driven it for a week with a blowing turbo gasket and damaged the turbo casting and exh manifold services. Rather than skimming them the dealer replaced them both!!
Don Hoods in birmingham are worth a look for a new hood
good price and only one of 18 or so SSTs, pretty rare compared to us common (212...) SS1 Ti owners
