Default Seat Belts

Just wondered if anyone knows when seat belts in the back became compulsary to have manufacture fitted in the car.

I have a Nissan Silvia 1.8 Turbo its a 1984 (B Reg).

There were none in the car when bought and i cant see anywhere to bolt them on above the shoulder.

Any ideas?!?!

Also if it is meant to have them anyone got any ideas where i can get some from cheaper then main dealer where it seems the only place to get stuff for it from.

Cheers Peeps. x

Hmm...

Shame they are in blue wouldn't really go.

Do you know if it was meant to have the factory fitted.

I think might find, the mounting holes for them are behind the trims. If you look carefully, you will see where to cut the trims out. I have Mk1 black trims in my Mk2 and had to cut the trims out to put the rear belts in.

I dyed my brown belts black. That is another option but it's a manky process.
