What milage is everyone elses on? Any problems I should look out for at certain mileage intervals?

Thanks

My current engine is on 128k and still feels as lively as it did 20k ago, it all depends how its been looked after. I will rebuild this one though over sometime as i have a 55k engine now going in soon

I did buy one with 135k on and it blew the head gasket within 50 minutes of the m1

170k? Thats kind of near to mine, any problems recently?

What typical problems does it have for its yearly MOT? Looking back over my service history it seemed to fail on emissions last time.

mine is just over the 190,000 miles!!!!!!!!

mine had emission probs short time ago, was down to the fuel pressure regulator, emissions were always 3.6 - 5.0 % last MOT after i chnage the fuel regulator it was down to 1.6 % ish and it passed the MOT for the last 3 years without a fail or an advise slip. he turned a blind eye to the emissions as that was the only fault, we just had to make it get down to 3.5 long enuf to pass the computer test.

Goldies was a 180ishk one wasnt it Adz? i cant remember.

I would be interested in some compression test results on some of these space ships.

my old engine was on about 185,ooo and still fine and the one in my car now must be about 170,000 ,nearly 100,000 of it according to the s.h at non standard boost with one hg replacement running fully synethic oil and while ive had it the 200bhp spec tune, the only reason i m taking it out now to replace it is because of a woodruff key crank problem caused i think by repairs done in the past,i think if you use good quality oil and regular maintenece they last a long time
