Default Silvia CA18ET front facing intake mani query

hi all, sorry for being a noob but... i've heard there is an intake manifold swap that can be done which routes the intercooler piping to the front of the car instead of over the motor.

i'm courently sourcing the bits to make a front mount intercooler for my s12 & i want to make it look neat n OEM as possible & flow as best as possible without any drastic bends in the piping.

does anybody know what car/engine such an intake comes from?

Or ones like mine that have been fabricated. I may be selling mine later on this year as I am going for silly horsepower out of the ca18et and a different design may be needed. A picture of it is in my project thread. Let me know if you are interested

CA20E 'canadian' spec manifold i used up until recently.

and one of my mates fabricated 'copy' attached

if running more boost and or bigger turbo, there are pretty big gains in the mid range torque, although generally only adds a couple of bhp, but as its troque that makes a car quick, its really noticable
