Default Rebushing Rear Arms

Hey guys I'm trying to rebush my rear arms. Burnt out the rubber and smacked out the core but I've been fighting the sleeve ALL FRICKING MORNING!! and the little twat just won't come out. All I'm doing is burring the edges and generally making a mess of the arm itself. That damn collar is supposed come out isn't it ? :grumpy:

if they are the same as the s12 sleeves, and you are using poly bushes, then you need to leave the sleeves in, otherwise use an hacksaw blade carefully cutting along the inside lenght.

Okay after some research it looks like removing the OEM rear trailing arm bush shells was probably a bad idea Apparantly over size bushes aren't going to happen but hopefully a local machine shop can whip up some replacement shells.

In the mean time I've been playing with the Nolathane site and I see the Z31 300zx bushes cross-over with N13/14 Sunny front lower wishbone which I can get locally ie; not the other side of the world. Also the quoted bush dimensions will fit without the shells but I'll just see what happens.

edit: actually that can wait for now I've just spent over £100 @ Bilt Hamber

I made holes with a drill to fragilize the original bushing and use an air heat gun to burn eat:

After cooling the bushing is a bit harder (not elastic) and damaged the sleeve can be easily leave with a hammer.

If you have a garden petrol and burn can be also good but be careful.
