Default Decisions, decisions...

Hi all, new here so take it easy on me

I'm now the owner of a mk2 1.8 turbo silvia auto and tbh i don't know what to do with it.
Two ideas so far are to sell it or to convert it to manual, strip it to basics, tune it up and make it into a track/drift/chav killer.
So (i know this is the wrong place) does any one want to make me an offer?
Or for the second idea some questions.

From reading on here it seems either the mk1 or mk2 gearbox will fit and i'll need the crossmember, pedlebox, flywheel and clutch as well. What about the ecu? Also are there any hitches in this conversion or is it a pretty straight forward swap?
On the engine/power side (damn is it slow) after a good service whats the best budget option for coaxing some more energy out of the lump? Really will be on a tight budget to start with as got some things to do to my sup as well.

TIA

sirgaz

Turning up the boost is a free option. fit a boost guage with 1psi incrememnts and set it to 9psi using a mechanical boost controller.

you can run 12psi no preoblem but it will involve canging your spark plugs and there gaps and possibly adjusting your timing. A reeer flowing air filter and removing the s12s centre silencer and changing the rear box are also cheap ways to get good power gains. a 35bhp increase over standard is quite easily achievable for peanuts

for the auto-manual conversion you will need to fabricate a gearbox mount and use the prop that comes with the manual box as the auto/manual/mk1/mk2 have different lengths i think they may have different rads as well, as the auto prob needs a oil cooler
its not too hard, but unless its a low mileage rust free minter i would sell it and get a manual

i've got a mk2 auto in white, its very tidy, thats the only reason that i'am doing the conversion, the pedal box is a right tawt to get out.
