Default Door pins

Hi guys.

My drivers side door is dropping and catching on the front wing. I went to Nissan and asked for some new door pins, they tell me that there are brass bushes inside (£18) and also the pins and C clips (£28) has anyone had to change these? should I just do these bushes, or the whole lot (seems a lot for a few bits of metal, but then they charged me £2 each for the nuts on the turbo flange...)

Thanks

T

Default Door drop !

You need the Pin and brass insert as they are the bits that wear! Its a bit of a tricky job but well worth doing!

Thanks Steve.

I will be doing it on my own, I thought to use a trolly jack to support the door and do them one at a time? I assume they pop out after removing the c clip?

Basically you have a pin that is held in by a c clip. You take this off after supporting the door. Then you tap out the upper and lower Brass rings from the hinge and tap in the new ones. If your door pin is worn then this will have to be changed. Take about an hour each side If you take your time

so you tap the pin out, and the brass bushes slip over the pin?
