Yeah I agree. But it could be done cheaper here if someone wanted to lead the way and get the spring platforms made up. I'm sure it will be more than 1000 bucks getting them from the states though. Thing is, even if you wanted to get a group of you together to get them made, how many people will have the money? Most people are driving S12's coz they're cheap, and generally they stay that way.

Having fitted coilovers on my car, I was expecting them to be quite a tough ride. They're 7kg front, 5kg rear (400lbs front, 280lbs rear), but are quite comfortable really.

When I converted S12 struts to coilovers you are subjecting them to run around on the last bit of shock travel, so they crash alot over potholes where the shock hits the bump stops. The lower the car, the least amount of travel you got.

The coilovers don't do that as they have plenty of travel by just being shorter, and in addition the height of them is independantly adjustable, and you can set how much preload you want in them.

Coilovers are defintely recommended, I'm very pleased with mine.
