Exhaust Gaskets(A brief guide)
Manifold and turbo gasket replacement
You need a 13mm/stubby13mm,14mm/stubby14,19mm spanner Support the front of the exhaust on a jack Undo jubilee clip on the sump that the turbo oil exit line is connected with. Undo Turbo oil feed line from block(located under exhaust manifold under cylinder 2 Bend the lock tabs up on the 13 turbo nuts retaining clips. undo the turbo to manifold nuts,Use your stubby 13mm to get to the awkward nuts. Lower jack enough for the turbo to drop off the manifold studs Undo manifold 14mm nuts,Use your stubby 14mm to get to the awkward nuts. Use loctite flange sealant with the head to manifold gaskets, clean all surfaces beforehand, tighten up all the bolts lightly then go round and tighten fully. They dont need to be very tight.let it go upto temperature and do 50 miles, retighten, again not to tight,or you will rip the threads out the head. Also check that the washers on your bottom studs are not still spinning when the nuts have gone tight. Reassemble (By using the jack under the exhaust you can avoid taking the water lines off the turbo. If you wish to take them off they are a 19mm ring spanner fitment on both front and rear)
