Default hmm, ideas

what i thought it might be, it might not, so ill give details for others to ponder for me

week or so ago i left work, my turbo is already a little smokey fubbered seals, anyway, i turned out onto a nice straight road, planted foot and away i was, but then the was a sudden power loss, so i let got of throttle, slowed a bit, then drove careful for a bit, since then if i accelerate, once the boost goes above bout 8psi i get a noise that sounds like wind down a chimney on a windy night, also wont hold the 12psi i was set at, just about copes with 9psi, but still drops off a little, ive had a look at silicon hoses, and the "look" ok but cant be 100%, first i thought turbo had gone but a week later and its still the same, so now thinking maybe i missed a hole in the hoses, as far as i see there is no exhaust blows (i had that before, but still had boost) it only does it on boost, cant get it to do it standing still with head under bonnet revvin the nuts off it, has to be moving accelerating.

any advice on this would be appriciated, as i get married in 2 weeks and away for holiday 2 weeks later, so dont really have spare monies for an unnessasery turbo change.

cheers guys be gental.
