you get what you pay for with tyres im afraid.
Comparing R888s to T1-Rs or any other 'normal' road tyre is a bit unfair, 888s are a semi-slick and softer compound/harder sidewall, so transmit more road noise and vibration into the cabin (tiring for a roadie) and wear rate is MUCH higher. 888s also do need to warm slightly to work better than a boggo road tyre, they are sh*te in rain or v.cold (ie last 3 months ![]() if the cars a 'sunday blaster' id go for a track based tyre and enjoy the benfits of the extra grip, but if its a daily the wear rate and nasty wet handling will get to you in the end. all my mates that have run them, ended up with a spare set of wheels for bad weather/normal driving whats the setup of the car? std suspension or modified?
