you dont wanna touch the screw that touches the main throttle cam lever thingy.
firstly sounds with missfire and such, similar to what mine did when the dump valve was leaking air, or it could just be an airleak in the pipe from turbo to throttle body. the idle screw is on the side of teh inlet manifold. ill find a pic.

so what does the screw below the cam throttle thingy do? i just thought it was a stopper that the cam rests on, thus an idle controller.

Check your throttle cable isnt too tight.
check that you do not have a vaccum leak on one of your pipes after you reassembled it. Check that the butterfly inside the throttle body is shutting fully Check the thottle lever return stops

yeah chek for an air leek, and also it wouldt be any harm if u had a timin gun and reset the timing. under the air box is a connector with cables, one has bout five, there is a large grey black one, a signal cable, check for corrosion, and on all of the cables. had similar problem with starting and then not starting, and idle problems, rewired those n now shes sweet! similar problem was also a misfire, bad earth on pluglead? few ideas. hope ye solve it?
