I know exactly what you mean, for technology and glamour it`s second to none. Hopefully one day I will have the spare cash, and time, to actually be able to go to a few live races .
I used to prefer it back when Damon Hill was World Champ, when the drivers could actually overtake. All the safety devices now (grooved tyres etc) do seem to have taken the edge away now. You don`t see as many wheel to wheel challenges these days. GP2 and BTCC can be superb for the track action and I do agree that all F1cars should be equal in spec. Then it`s just down to driver skill . If I were Jensen Button, I would be seriously thinking about a move to a different team, if Honda don`t step up a few notches before the end of the season.
I think Lewis has brought a lot more British fans to the sport too. It`s good to see someone mount a challenge to the other veteran drivers .
For value for money, I love to watch Autograss racing. Last year, it cost me £3.00 to watch a full afternoon`s racing. Plenty of crashes, overtaking and the noise and smell of it . Not had chance to see any yet this year, I`ve been to busy .
Regards,
Ian.
