i really think dump valves are not needed unless you are running very high boost, they stop the turbo stalling and twisting the shaft, they also cause uneven idle and a moment of overfueling on a car with and air flow meter.

I'll post a pic when theres some daylight, i think the DV is a twin piston?
maybe a bit stiff, worked fine on the evo but i was running 1.6bar, so im guessing the baby t2 doesnt push that much. Thanks |

mines a bailey twin piston dump valve, and tbh my T2 dont make it sound as loud as it prolly would with a T25

Hi again, no pics yet, but i tried a forge dump valve from a friends RST and its alot louder, so i assume that the spring is weaker on the piston, not really worried about the DV so i think i'll run without.

the cheap xs power dump valves are better than bailey and forge imho, it took 32psi on the t34 before the xs power dump valve started to leak, just needs a stronger spring and you can take the xs power ones apart easy enough, i used a bailey first ,but it leaked, they ex power do singlke and twin trumpet and my single is very load, i will use it, although the sxoc seem to be against them and say they are
,but i'd rather protect the turbo, there although there will be nothing about 600bhp.
