so the sr20det is easy to fit in the s12?
what would be needed?

i know i would have to get the driveshafts modified to fit... im assuming shortened...?

what would i need other than the engine, gearbox and loom?

Erm...An SR?

I would just get hold of S14 engine mounts and brackets, bodge them in then it an easy install. Prob the gearbox mount will be in a different place and the prop would be the wrong length. Gearstick would be in a slightly different position

why fit an SR? nasty agricultural engine that's VERY expensive when they go wrong, and don't listen to people who say they never go wrong because they certainly do and usually they give you very little warning

what engine would you go for then?
the ca18det?

i was thinking of going that route origionally because i have a spare gearbox and they sell quite cheap...

personally I'd build a CA18DET, you can get an engine that needs building for £50, spend £600-800 on it and you've got a spotless engine which can bolt to the ET gearbox so no need for fabrication. an SR gearbox alone will go for £250

biggest prob is sourcing the parts.
seems to be a shortage of fucked s13's at the moment lol
