Odd noise
After I drive my S12...up to temperature, boot it a few times, (mostly sensible though) and then park it up, run for 30 sec's on idle then turn it off.
After about 2 mins it makes a load of bubbling noises sounds like water. Almost like an airlock. But it doesn't use any water at all, and the temp is always spot on! Any ideas? Places to start looking? |

It's probably the water feeds to the turbo boiling up. I remember it on my old S12 when it the turbo connected

it seems to be a common thing with the bigger garret turbos, something to do with cooler water being drawn into the turbo, then boiling, gas rising and then cooler water being drawn back down into the turbo and so on

my cosworth and rs turbo both did this(t3 turbo) so it could be normal but.....
check the temps all over at that point with a laser heat gun( £20 from maplins) it may have poor coolant flow thermostat could be a posibility
