Most mods on here are explained in the how to section but if theres anything you cant see that your not sure of then someone will always help you out
 As for the filter k&n is just a brand name that people assume is the best and thats why they go for it, i dont think anyone on this forum is even using a k&n are they? any nice big filter will pretty much give you the same results with a nice free flowing exhaust system  good luck mate and get some pics up
