Default Brake master cylinder

does anyone know whether the brake master cylinder from a 300zx non abs will fit onto the s12???

mates just done a big brake conversion for his s14a and the next step for him it to fit one of these, just wondering if it would have to same sort of effect on the s12 as i am running s14 4 pots and turned down s14 discs????

I'm looking at this at the moment and the S12 has a 1" piston. The Z32's came with 1" or 17/16" pistons, so in reality will make very little difference.

Its only an issue if you find you have too much rear braking or the pedal hitting the floor

yea and if your suffering from to much rear braking you might as well fit a brake bias kit

Yours will be a 1", the >86 models are 15/16"

On the S12 the rear brakes arent good enough to be an issue, doubt you could lock them up to be honest

yea only ever managed to lock them up when going down a hill, turned a small s bend and doing no more than 30mph there was a bus near the bottom of the hill pulling into a car park so i started to slow down when they locked on and ended up sliding sideway down with my front end nearly dragging on a wall, and while trying to correct ended up facing the other direction stopped..........

luckily i didnt do any damage and was nowhere near the bus lol
