i think that is about the first time ive seen what sort of spec your s12 is at even though you have been on the forums for years. is the power steering pump completely removed or just off the engine as it was a pain when me and adz were trying to change a pump hose once before

Is your s12 better than Shauns lol

alright guys. Yes i read alot of the good work you guys are doing and think its about time mine was back on the road. Is it as good as shauns? lol!!! i would say shauns would stuff mine but he has driven mine and scared the shit out of me. i didnt let on at the time.

mine has at the moment:

200sx balanced bottom end with forged pistons
ported 8valve head (shaun said seriously ported!!)
front facing inlet plenum (shauns old one)
65mm throttle body
300mmx600mmx100mm core intercooler (think thats quite big?)
no radiator!!! (got to get one in it)
cossy T3 turbo with 360 bearing
440cc injectors
scorpion stainless steel exhaust
sard fuel regulator
greddy b spec 2 boost controller (to go on)
vernier pulley (to go on)
omex management system with bosch bits and bobs

would say it has alot of untapped potential as when i last gave it some it was running quite safe. i think when its mapped with all the bits on it should move along quite quick. shauns turbo and general breathing of the engine i would say is superior to mine but i am working on that with this intercooler set up. manifold needs addressing too but hopefully that will be sorted by the summer.

I could really do with a piper cam put in but i cant find anyone to do it round here. shame. i havent got hold of one yet either so if anyone has one for sale i would be interested.

I live in redditch in the west midlands. My engine was denis evans old one before he built his insane one he has now. Shaun has helped me out loads over the last 2 years. top bloke.

forgot to reply about the power steering pump. yes its an arse to change because of that one bloody hose connected with a banjo jobby, its off the engine, i managed to strip the pump to its bare bones to get that one hose off. THe newer one is going on. I had a serious issue with the power steering rack leaking last year. changed the rack for a recond one but it was still leaking from the boots. off it came and i got it changed but that one leaked too. thought that whilst the car was in bits i may as well changed the pump for peice of mind.

Do you have a jc racing vernier from i think his name is chrism from sxoc but i could have him mixed up with someone else I will be using mine on my new engine with the piper cam from my current engine. Is there any bennefit atall from fitting the vernier to the standard cam other than timing being more accurate?

Martin(30 psi) is fitting my cam and setting up the vernier with a dial gauge but thats all i know hence why hes fitting it nice man

I am gunna be using a T25 which i got giving to me free so i decided to rebuild it whilst tarting up the new engine and making it all bling for this years shows

The kit i am waiting to arrive is as shown in the link below:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

The rebuild really isnt that difficult and a guide i found online is really helpfull so i will post it in the how to section later as it can be used for reference with the T2 and T28 also. Im sure it can also be used to relate to other turbos.

Does anyone know how crucial the balancing of the shaft etc is and what may occur if its out a few mm give or take?

i do have a jc racing vernier pulley from craig who races the scimitar thingy. Nice bloke. I think they help with the low down side of things. Not as lumpy at idle i think as well.

I am going to have to speak to Martin and see whether he can fit my piper cam and vernier pulley once i have it on the road.

My t-piece came today from pace performance. Its aluminium and has completed the inlet side of things. Will have to get one of those slim varley racing batteries now as the room is not much at all. Getting my power steerring pump back tonight off a mate who used his tools at work to undo the brace around it so i can fit the existing banjo onto it.

Scrappy monday for a smaller radiator unless anybody has one?????????

Turbo fitment and manifold next week along with all the ancilleries like the greddy. Oh what fun the silvia can be.... i forgot!

Your turbo kit sounds bloody good!!! you could start a recon business when you get the hang of it! not many turbo specialists about!!!
