Default s12's at mod/nash

i had a good time this weekend , chaffed me nads walking up and down in the sun , it was good to see our cars around the track, oval and 1/8th of a mile, we put in some respectable times, then japster (den), pukka and duncan, well they thrashed around the oval and also the circuit. rich k's car suprised us with just a t25 and mostley bolt on mods and a slippin clutch, he put in some good 0-60 times, i'am sure he will post up his graph for us,i myself forgot my licence, so i had to call upon my 2 newley employed racing drivers, pukka and my eldest daughters other half, the fastest time my s12 achieved was 0-60 in 5.41 secs and 9.380 secs for the 1/8th of a mile, there was still more to come as it was'nt on full boost i'am not sure on the exact times for den's beast, but i know that den, lorna and there friend tom gave it a good thrashing down the 1/8th,i'am sure he will put his graphs up for us,especially lorna's 5 odd second run will a shift from 1st to 2nd that sounded quicker and smoother than any auto box anyhoo enough from me as i'am knackerd,i'll upload some pics soon.

Christ, fancy taking the poles out of someone's tent. Don't know anyone who'd do a thing like that.

I managed a 0-60 in 6.7 seconds with the clutch slipping badly in first. I also need to improve my gear change speeds as I seem to take 0.5 seconds to change

Excellent weekend though, the track is very addictive. I'll always be on the track from now on. Once I get bigger brakes of course lol

Thank you to everyone who turned up to make it a worthwhile event. Also very well done to Duncan and his other half who made it all the way from Ireland just for the event.

The photos and videos page will be done as soon as Dr Silv manages to send me the files (taking a while over msn lol).

i thought there was a problem on the way home last night, the car did not feel as responsive as it should, so i could not settle, i went out and checked things over, it turns out my son had turned the gain down to 3% so the turbo was not spooling up fast enough or hitting high enough boost , so i think it could have been a lot quicker.

Yep - Was a GREAT weekend! - A few downers, notably after getting my new clutch fitted by a qualified mechanic, putting 200 miles on it before the event in order to run it in, the new one still seemed to be slipping on the 0-60's / 1/8 mile (However, on the track it seemed fine, or maybe less noticable...) - Definitely down on power though, so have rang Simon to arrange dropping the car down for a check and tune-up...

Still, I got a 5.58 0-60 (which is crap for what the car can do), and an 1/8th mile of 9.548 (I think - will check and amend if it's wrong!) - So Shaun's beast got the fastest times of the day (with more to be got from it given enough runs)...

Lorna (Wifey) got 5.77 secs, and as Shaun mentions, the gearchange is damn near invisible, but kept letting off the power before the end of the 1/8th - Give the girl more time, and she'll be getting better times than us blokes methinks!

Had a couple of wicked runs on the track - that is one seriously good track, and has loads of turns, including a hairpin and a 90 degree'r - Fantastic! - Only downside was that I had a couple of muppets in Cosworth's who slowed me down and wouldn't let me through, and I had to keep dropping back just to get a decent run - Then on the last lap, my turbo to intercooler hose split , and I had to come off... One quick purchase later, we were back on for 0-60's - all good fun...

Was good to see Shaun (complete with the Chesterfield Posse (aka Stella and't kids!), along with Pukka and Dr. Silvia again, and was amazed to see that Richard K. was a) alive, and b) attending despite his clutch - good show Rich....

Roll on the next event - Will definitely be looking out for Rockingham track days in future I think...

Well done for organising it on our side Pukka - much appreciated...
