You most likely already got it off by now but I'd like to put my 2 cents in. I had the same problem. You can either use a wheel puller. Or use some type of rubber hammer & just beat it until it comes off. That's what I did.

ok.. so this has been done to death, but my way of getting steering wheels off is as follows:
Loosen nut a couple of turns. Sit in the drivers seat and jam your knees under the steering wheel rim, pulling on the top with your hand. Then with a bar, drift or socket extension smack the nut/steering column shaft as hard as you dare, a little at first and increase to full nuclear war until the wheel releases... Never been defeated yet... and also have never smacked myself in the face... Conkers. |
