Default MKII sidelights on headlights down

Anyone know how to do this? Silviagod told me along time ago that if you snip one of the wires, the headlights would stay down until they were on beam. Did a search on club-s12 but cant find any answers

I shall ask the guy who did my wiring. He vastly simplified the wiring loom in my bay and cut out about half of the relays that ran my headlamps. They now open and close a lot faster in addition to the fact that they do stay down until they beams are on or close when i turn them off but leave the marker lights on.

Yeah silviagod told me how to do it once, it was one of the relays by the washer bottle but can't rem which for the life of me. Also, the popup lights still lit up while closed. I actually wired a switch up to mine at the time which, when you fiddled between it, the stalk and the retract switch caused some odd results - I could make her wink :P

Edit: ooo, I found a pic, looks like it was next to the battery....

Aye i've always wondered this aswell. Would love just the corner side lights to come on with out the pop ups appearing with that dull light. Wouldnt want the headlamps still on while closed though... If anyone figures it out share the knowledge : D

tbh it looks quite nice having the beam on through the grill with the lights down

If the lights are on when they are down the bulbs will burn out very quickly.

On the dim-dip thing there should be an ignition feed to that grey relay, I haven't checked myself but if there is then all you have to do is remove the ignition feed and the lights won't go up until you turn the lights to the second position.

If that doesn't work I will have to have a look myself and let you know.
