Just to say Hi
Hi there, thought I would say hello. Been a car nut for years, having been through about 20+ cars in the last 10 years or so.
Always had a liking for Jap motors, but like the 80s retro thing aswell. I'm looking for something to play with on weekends that won't cost the earth (baby due in 3 months) and the only car I like the idea of is the S12 (well, a MK3 supra would be good but not on insurance). Has anyone tried insuring the S12 as classic? I know there are some 5-600 left so it may be worth a try (policies are normally in the £100-£150 bracket then). If anyone knows of a decent example going for not silly money give me a nod. |

Hi
S12 is a good choice. very under rated in my opinion & doesn't get the credit it disearves, esp in the classic world. I now insure mine on classic insurance. I pay about £130 for 1500 miles and agreed value with Classicline. Only down side is the limited milage, but you can get up to 5000 per year. There are 3 mk2 s on ebay, one is running according to the profile. so I can only guess will need some work to sort, but the other two are included, so good sorce for parts if needed. Don't look to bad in pictures, but as you know pictures can hide a lot. Daz |
