Ok finally got my arse into gear on this and ordered a positive battery cable from a BMW E39, as the battery in them sits in the boot.

420cm long, delivered for £43. A lot cheaper than buying a race battery and cheaper than buying the cable and parts new.

Just need a cheap battery box now
