Rite, can someone please explain what im doing wrong.
Mani gaskets came today, swapped them over. Did all the bolts up as tight as they would go, starting from top right and doing the top row, then the bottom two. Start it up, and its blowing, feel around and its coming from the underside of the right hand bit of manifold.....Again! Im sure the manifold aint warped, as it was ok when it came off. What have I done now? ![]() |

use flange sealant with the gaskets,clean all surfaces beforehand,tighten up all the bolts lightly then go round and tighten fully. They dont need to be very tight.let it go upto temperature and do 50 miles,retighten, again not to tight,or you will rip the threads out the head.Also check that the washers on your bottom studs are not still spinning when the nuts have gone tight.

Rob you sure the manifold aint cracked? Check closely as i had a hairline crack in one i took off.
