Rear brake & spring questions?
My s12 has rear disc's without the venting gap in the middle so it is one soildwall where as a couple i have seen for sale have the two walls with e venting gap in between them what the reason for this or is it just due to more modern efficent brakes? Also having no luck finding lowering srings anybody point me in the right direction?
thanks James |

Not to sure about the brakes, can't remember if my old ones had a venting gap, don't think they did, and its not that important for the rears because they never really get hot enough to warrant the need for venting, because most of your stopping power is done by the front brakes.
and as for lowering springs try http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/

What he said, the rear's only do 30% of the work so don't need to be vented like the fronts, unless its a proper sports car. The Z31 has thicker vented rear discs that would be good for a high power S12.
I've had the front and rear brakes smoking from over cooking them, its certainly easy on a few multiple heavy duty stops to overheat them
