s13 suspension??
I think im going to be a pest to every one on here lol
Do the s13 coilovers fit straight onto an s12?? or would i have to modify the suspension tops? From searching the net, i have noticed s12 uprated parts are near on non existent |

s12 coilovers are a DIY option now tbh, a few on here have done it.
30psi knows more about s13 coilovers, they fit but you also need the s13 lower arm and an adjustable top plate, im sure there are more bits too, but thats the basics

Na you just need the hubs, and possibly S13 track rods

So i can buy a set of s13 coilovers, a set of hubs, track rod ends and put them on Will the brake disks off an s13 have to be used aswell?? and will i have to fit a set of the s13 calipers? Thanks for the advice |

Its the track rods and ends that you might need. Basically you can do it without them, but you will end up making the S12 rods a bit longer than they could maybe be happy with ie not much thread remaining. Thats up to you, but to be on the safe side I'd try to do it properly. I also found the S13 ones too long in fact, so they may need shortening, and re-threading to a better length. I haven't done it on an S12 but I did on the Datsun, that was the main issue to be honest, so just be prepared for some extra work if you use the S13 ones. If you used S13 arms, then they may well be the right length, but you'd have to adapt the S13 arms to take the S12 tension rod.
S13 brakes are ok, they come in different sizes. The earlier ones are smaller than S12 ones, so have to be avoided, and the facelift ones are a few mm larger than the S12 ones. That said, whilst down there I would seiously consider doing the job properly and use at least S14/Z32 calipers and discs.

Thankyou.
I will get a list together and start to look around for bits then I have mailed a couple of people about the hubs and track rod ends, i will ask them about the rods aswell Im debating wether to go for the coilovers or uprated shocks, as she will be a daily driver with kids to think about. She wont be used for track days etc, so im guessing kyb uprated shocks will do me fine. can i use the s13 rear shocks aswell? |

I've got S13 coilovers on the rear of the Datsun, but its an easy job compared to the S12. The S12 will require a lot of fabrication to get the tops to bolt in, and then ideally a cage in place to strengthen the area where the tops would bolt in. The area there's isnt designed to take the weight of the car there.
I would consider KYB's then if you want it comfy as a daily driver, coz the S13 coilovers will be tough unless they have a particularly soft spring rate
