Spotted a pair of skanky looking volvos in Banzai mag today. Hate the cars put they did look pretty good fun in the pics. One had turbo haus on the windscreen so im pretty sure its maggys mate sid.

The pictures wernt sent in by the owners. they were shots from some drift comp.

What colour was it? He's on his 2nd one now

it was a light blue colour with the standard foam black rear spoiler.It had dished wheels. The other was the same colour,spoilerless with orange dished wheels


Adz said it has a clio 16v engine on throttle bodies in it. Sounds nice.

Na thats the old wanker one he had.

He's got one now running the renault engine, on all rose jointed coilovers and a 5 link converted rear end.

Only been out in it once but it did remind me of a stripped out AE86 I had been in for speed, weight and the angles it hangs out at. Its got a transaxle so it spot on 50/50 weigh distribution. Wouldn't have one though, not bothered anymore by drifting.

the drifting scenes got a bit over the top hasnt it. I do get a bit tired of every ebay thing i see saying drifting spec etc.


Did he buy the volvo already modified?

Dont really see much of my mates who do the drifting anymore I got tired of listening to them go on about it all the time, and they were only interesting in going out at midnight till 6 in the morning drifting roundabouts.

He did it all himself with the help of his mate who is building one as well which is 6 linked, rose jointed, supercharged williams engine, mk1 escort quick rack. No expense spared, its mad that one.

Its stuff like that guy doing the volvo that to me is what the car modifying game is all about. you just mod what feels ok to you, some may like it some may not but you have done yourself, your ideas, bet that volvo is a fooking hoot to drive.... bet he doesn't get the piss taken out of him when he kicks ass in it,
