Default turbo chatter?

new to turbos.just piped in a front mounted intercooler.when i let of revs i get a shuddering sort of noise from turbo area.didnt get this before(or it was not as loud so i couldnt hear it)read about it on wikipedia and it says its either air gettin pushed back through turbo as you let off revs or the wastegate.which is it most likely to be and can it damage anything .thanks

its turbo chatter matey, as it says, air rushing back over the blades, can cause turbo stalling, dump valves can protect against this.

Make sure its a piston type or it will cause loads of problems like idle and will run lean

In my opinion the backspin sounds alot better than a tacky dump valve

Default re dump valve

dont mind sound of backspin but apparently can cause damage to turbo ,or it to stall.dump valve reduces risk of this.(this is what ive been informed).cheers
