Default Headunits for dummies (ie; me)

Hey guys,

I've decided all the messing required to get my factory H/U working isn't going to be worth the hassle, despite northener kindly supplying the plugs (cheers mate!) Plus the harness has already been adapted to fit a more modern unit.

I'm not a big fan of ICE so I just want a fairly simple set-up with minimal fuss and outlay. This is what I've got to work with;

Problem is I don't know what brand head unit these plugs wil suit and is there any S12 specific stuff I should look out for (ie; deimensions etc) ?

Cheers

They fit nearly all headunits, know as industry standard (ISO), and if they don't there will be an adaptor lead with the head unit for sure.

Got a headunit and CD changer to put in tomorrow. Not sure where to mount the 'changer though. The boot is fully trimmed and carperted and I don't really want to put a knife to any of it.

Any ideas anyone ?

I thought the ECU was under there ?

Anyway it's just sat in the boot, in the cardboard box it was posted in, and seems quite happy. Skips if I hit speedhumps too fast but it'll (hopefully) be going into my winter/daily drive soon-ish anyways.

just a quick note regarding changers / amps etc., remember to run power / signal / speaker wire separately down the car to avoid interference. i would suggest speaker wire down either side and then signal and power either side of the transmission tunnel.
